As a well established company in the metalworking industry in the heart of the Sauerland region and at our sites worldwide, we at KettenWulf organise our corporate activities in an energy-efficient and sustainable manner. Certified in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 50001 energy management system, we consistently focus on measures to optimise our energy processes. Our aim is to protect the natural landscape of the Sauerland and all our sites from negative climatic influences. At KettenWulf Betriebs GmbH, we are committed to sustainable and efficient use of energy in all our operational processes.
Our energy policy is based on the following principles:
- Energy efficiency: We continuously strive to improve the energy efficiency of our systems, processes and buildings. We invest in modern technologies and regular reviews and identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
- Renewable energy: We are increasingly focusing on the use of renewable energy wherever possible. We are helping to reduce our CO2 emissions through our plans to expand wind power and the use of other renewable energy sources.
- Energy management: : Effective energy management is an integral part of our corporate management strategy. We have clear responsibilities and processes to monitor, analyse and optimise our energy consumption.
- Awareness and training: We are committed to raising our employees' awareness of energy efficiency and sustainability. Training and information promote awareness of the responsible use of energy.
- Legal requirements: We are committed to complying with all relevant statutory regulations and official requirements relating to energy.
- Continuous improvement: We aim to continuously improve our energy-related performance. Regular reviews and audits enable us to achieve our targets and identify new opportunities to save energy.
Measures to date
- PV system: We have installed a modern photovoltaic system that covers part of the energy demand from renewable solar energy, reduces CO₂ emissions and increases energy efficiency.
- Combined heat and power plant: The combined heat and power plant generates electricity and heat directly on site, minimises energy losses and increases security of supply.
